Welcome to the Town of Drakes Branch web site. The Town of Drakes Branch was incorporated on April 14, 1903. As of the 2010 Census, the town's population was 530 people.

The town office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Town of Drakes Branch provides water and sewer services, trash pick-up, a Volunteer Fire Department, and Town Law Enforcement.

  TOWN OF DRAKES BRANCH UPDATED PUBLIC NOTICE
 TOWN OFFICE TO REOPEN MAY 18th, 2020

   Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Town Office has been closed to the public.  However, the office will reopen on Monday, May 18th.  Until then, the town clerk will continue to work in her office and will be available by phone at 434-568-3091, Monday-Friday from 8:30-2:30.  The public works department can be reached at 434-568-3600.  The Mayor can be reached at 434-547-5791.
Payments for water/sewer bills and taxes can be mailed to the town or left in the slot between the glass doors.  

Updates will be posted on the door and will be put on the Fire Department’s facebook page and will be put on Noah Davis’ facebook page also. It will also be posted on the town’s web-site at: www.towndrakesbranch.com.

MONTHLY TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE HELD THE 1ST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 7:00 P.M.  IF THE MEETING DATE FALLS ON A LEGAL HOLIDAY,  IT WILL BE HELD THE TUESDAY AFTER THE HOLIDAY:  

January 6

January 14 at 2:30 p.m. – CALL MEETING  budget amendment

February 3

March 2 – 6:00 p.m. 
Public Hearing on new Municipal Building/Firehouse 6:45 p.m.  Joint public hearing with Planning Commission  - amending Floodplain Districts. Regular meeting at 7:00 p.m.

June 1 – Regular meeting rescheduled to Tuesday, June 16th

The Drakes Branch Board of Zoning Appeals’ meetings will be held generally on a Wednesday.  Meeting dates and time will be posted when they are scheduled.
